Role of OT assistant:

An OT assistant is usually a part of a team of Doctors/Surgeons, nurses and other paramedical staff. They work under the instructions of the Doctors/Surgeons leading the surgery. Besides assisting the Doctors, OTs is also capable of taking care of basic patient monitoring activities. ICUs, Emergency departments and CCUs are some common places where OT technicians can be found in action.

Aim of the course is to teach and train students in management of operation theatre along with handling a variety of operating instruments including electronic and advanced equipments used in modern operation theatres.
